Lynn Hill

Hi, my name is Lynn Hill. I live in Taylorsville with my wife of 41 years. We have 5 children, four girls and a boy. They are all grown and out of the house at the moment. We have 11 grandchildren. All of our family lives in the valley and we get together regularly to celebrate family events and just have fun together. I am an accountant and currently work as the controller for a company in Draper that sells business services.
I was born in Idaho Falls and lived there until I was six when we moved to Smithfield in Cache Valley.I spent a couple of years in Japan as a missionary and have lived in Salt Lake the rest of the time except for a year when we lived in Florida.
In school I was more focused on instrumental music and played the clarinet for seven years. I have always sung in church choirs alternating between the bass and the tenor part. I have not had any formal vocal training, but music has been a part of my whole life. I sang in a barbershop chorus in St George for about 6 months several years ago. For as long as Jan Vanderhooft has been involved with barbershop singing we have been attending concerts and enjoying the great harmonies that barbershoppers are known for. I had desires to get involved, but the timing never seemed right. After listening to the summer concert my wife suggested that maybe the time was right for me to get serious about it. I am looking forward to developing my ability to hear the harmony parts and be able to contribute to the success of our chorus.
