John Treash:

John is a recent college grad who is currently working as a Art Director in the advertising world. His passion for creating music sprouted from an early age and stuck with him throughout high school and college where he joined various choral, jazz, and other acapella groups. Though he sings lead with the Pine, he oddly enough considers himself an introvert in all aspects besides music making. Along with barbershop, John enjoys hiking, drawing, and producing various styles of music in his room with his large cat, Cake.

George Mammarella:

George holds the position of the honored elder of the group at 26 years old. His school days are behind him, and he works as a software developer for Progressive Insurance. His musical interests started early, spanning various choirs, bands, and theater throughout his schooling and after. While barbershop a capella is still new to him, it's now his favorite musical outlet, while just a few years ago he would've proclaimed himself to be a die-hard marching band geek. Outside of barbershop, George enjoys video games, cooking, and traveling, and he loves spending quality time with his fiancée Lauren and their bad dog Copper.

Johnny Bugarin:

Johnny is a student at Metropolitan State University of Denver where he studies vocal music education. He is the Director of the 52eighty Youth Chorus, and is the front-line director for the Longs Peak Chorus (Longmont, CO). On his spare time he enjoys arranging, drinking craft beer, and enjoying life with his girlfriend, Kesney. Johnny is currently an applicant for the Music Category in the Barbershop Harmony Societies' Contest and Judging Program. He has been a part of numerous ensembles ranging from being a contrabassonist, to performing solo arias. Overall, Johnny's passion for barbershop stems from the people in the barbershop culture. He couldn't imagine a world without singing barbershop.

Keith Waldheim:

Keith discovered barbershop around 2009 when he was only 11 years old. He officially joined the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2010 joining Sound of the Rockies Chorus in Denver and kick started his musical life. He is now the Tenor Section Leader in SOR and Co-Director of the 52eighty Youth Chorus. He loves The Broncos, spending time with friends, and working as a Supervisor at AMC Theatres in Highlands Ranch.

The Pine:

The Pine formed in March of 2015 where four young and eager guys decided that it would be fun to attempt to qualify for the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Collegiate Quartet Competition. Even though when quartet started one of the members had already graduated college and another was only in high school, they were all under the age of 25 which made them eligible to compete in the contest. All members of The Pine are now members of the Sound of the Rockies Chorus in Denver, CO. The members have served in various leadership positions in the Sound of the Rockies sponsored "youth chorus", 52eighty. Had that chorus not existed, there is a great chance there would be no Pine. In April of 2015 the quartet won the honor of representing the Rocky Mountain District in the International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Contest. The year after the competition the name changed from the Collegiate Competition to the Youth Competition. In April of 2016, things were looking up as the quartet again qualified to the International Competition placing as high as 17th. After that year, the Barbershop Harmony Society decided that not every district was guaranteed a representative, thus making The Pine the last RMD Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Champions, and the first and last RMD Youth Barbershop Quartet Champions! After the quartets contest push for the 2016 International Competition, our oldest member turned 26 which put the quartets career of competing in the Youth/Collegiate Competition to an end.

In the fall of 2016, The Pine had the honors of being crowned Rocky Mountain District Champions. The Pine will be one of two quartets representing the Rocky Mountain District in the 2017 International Barbershop Quartet Competition. This group is comprised of four singers that ultimately could not see the past two years and counting without each other. Being young has a lot of turbulence that comes with it. From one member graduating high school, to another making a big career and living move, to a member graduating college, and finally a member getting married in June of 2017. The members of the quartets lives have been influenced heavily by this journey as a quartet and could not have achieved the success they have made without people like yourselves, lovers of this art
